Hybrid training programs
The IHU Strasbourg’s training portfolio brings together specialities using images to guide treatment, endoscopic, laparoscopic and flexible surgery, and interventional imaging, with the aim of developing the intellectual process of choosing and deciding on treatment modalities. The fusion of skills and knowledge, underpinned by innovative technological developments, enable us to adhere to modern therapeutic principles aimed at cross-pollination and application in the healthcare process.
MASTERS and University diplomas: The EVE Education Platform
The IHU offers 3 international Masters and university diplomas open to surgeons, engineers, scientists, and recent graduates in business and economics interested in innovation in medicine.
These customised courses are available on the EVE Evolving Education platform, created in 2019 (ANR flagship programme). In collaboration with Strasbourg’s Faculty of Medicine, it provides personalised training in medical innovation and provides access to a network of expertise.
Therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS and TEUS)
IHU Strasbourg offers advanced level courses where the practical aspect is fundamental. These courses are aimed at experienced gastroenterologists and echoendoscopists who wish to be trained in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound by internationally recognized experts. The training is based on in vivo pathological models designed to mimic the various pathologies encountered and make it easier to learn how to treat them using endoscopic ultrasound.
B.E.S.T. Innovation
The B.E.S.T. (Business Engineering and Surgical Technologies) programme is an innovative teaching program designed for students in medicine, engineering, and management. Its aim is to inspire people to become innovators and entrepreneurs in the field of medical technologies. It combines e-learning with on-site training in the form of a Summer School. It includes engineering and entrepreneurship workshops, as well as hands-on experience in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, robotic, and flexible endoscopic surgery.
