Image-Guided Therapies course
Image-guided therapy (IGT)
IHU Strasbourg is offering a multidisciplinary course covering percutaneous image-guided surgery techniques for the precise, personalized treatment of digestive diseases. Designed for any specialist involved in performing image-guided interventions – surgeons, radiologists and gastroenterologists – this dynamic program provides an update on standard and innovative percutaneous surgical procedures.
Under the guidance of world-renowned specialists, the training will take place on the IHU’s unique hybrid platform combining the most advanced technologies for minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy and interventional radiology.
This course focuses on image-guided therapies and features two parts:
- One dedicated to ablation therapies: The need to understand the indications for ablation, the types of available energies and navigation systems is of great interest if not essential for the practitioner of the 21st century.
- One focused on percutaneous surgery techniques. The latest clinical advances will be presented, and participants will have the opportunity to practise the latest training techniques with detailed descriptions of percutaneous operative abdominal procedures.
This course is designed for surgeons, radiologists, gastroenterologists, and any practitioners involved in image-guided interventions and tumour ablation therapies.
This course provides complete, timely, accurate, practical coverage of ablation and interventional image-guided percutaneous techniques applied to abdominal diseases while presenting new developments in instrumentation and technology as medical robotics and smart technologies may be major drivers in this field in the near future.
Objectives
